SUDBURY ASTRONOMY CLUB: "Up above the heavens await."

Ken Odaisky Memorial Observatory

The Ken Odaisky Memorial Observatory is the Sudbury Astronomy Club's very own observatory that members can access. This observatory is located at Camp Wassakwa near Fairbanks Provincial Park.

The dome was formerly owned by NASA and was used to track satellites for the NASA space program back in the 60's and 70's. When the NASA program left Sudbury, Laurentian University took ownership of the dome. Finally, in the 1990's it was bought by the Sudbury Astronomy Club.
